It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peter A. Nevola, 79, of Cranston, RI, who passed away Thursday, January 28th, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Peter graduated from the University of Rhode Island in Business. He served in the RI state banking division for over 20 years, and was a former Bank Commissioner of Rhode Island. He was also a Professor of Mathematics at Roger Williams University for 17 years.
Peter valued family above all else. He was a model of excellence as a husband and father. He made sure everyone knew his family made him fulfilled and complete. He lived his life by the words, “You are always wealthy with family and friends.”
His memory will be honored, cherished, and maintained by his wife, Ann (Cambio), brother Charles, sister Elizabeth, son Chad, daughter Tara, daughter-in-law, Teresa (Chen), and his greatest treasures, his grandchildren, Nathaniel Peter and Aria Rosaline.
He was preceded in death by his father Sebastian “Yano” Nevola, his mother Mary A. “Angie” Nevola (Lancia), brother Paul, and sister Mary (Maxcy).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Private family services will be held. There will be a celebration of Peter’s life held later this year.
