PETER MAZZEI

PETER MAZZEI, 93, of Orchard St., Cranston, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Pennacchia) Mazzei.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Peter and Angelina (Saracino) Mazzei, he lived in Johnston for 40 years, moving to Cranston in 2007.
Mr. Mazzei was a laborer in the railroad industry for many years, retiring in 1978. He was co-founder of both the Johnston Senior Center and Manton Senior Center. An Avid bowler, he was active with many senior bowling leagues.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Peter A. Mazzei and his wife Lolly of Cranston, Angela T. Terry and her husband Edwin of Smithfield, and Theresa A. Frezza and her late husband Vincent of Johnston; loving grandfather of 11 and the late John L. Thompson; loving great-grandfather of 22; loving great great-grandfather of 4; and dear brother of Michael Mazzei of Warwick and Anthony Mazzei and Lillian Regal, both of Johnston, and the late Lucy LaFazia and Mary Tanzi.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
VISITING HOURS FRIDAY 4-8 p.m.
