78, of Third Ave., Cranston, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011. He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Joan A. (Stifano) Insana. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Carmella (Luppino) Insana. Peter was a milkman and worked for H.P. Hood Co. for many years and later worked as a boiler helper at United Wire Co. before retiring. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran and later served in the RI Army National Guard. Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Linda J. Insana and Diane M. Lavoie, both of Cranston and the late Karen A. Worthen and Peter J. Insana, Jr.; dear brother of Mary C. Alpaio-Bessette of Johnston, Joseph R. Insana of West Warwick and the late John R. Insana and Dorothy J. Neri; and loving grandfather of six. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew's Church, 1291 Elmwood Ave., Cranston at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
