PETER GIONIS

77, of Burdick Dr. Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband

of Sylvia (Lambrakis) Gionis. Born in Sykea, Laconia, Greece he immigrated to Montreal in 1956 and moved to the USA in 1972. He was the son of the late George and Anna (Doumakis) Gionis. Peter was an avid sports fan.

He was a chef at Andreas Restaurant for fifteen years before his retirement.

He also worked as a chef at the former Governor Dyer Buffet House for many years.

Besides his wife he was the dear brother of John Gionis of Buffalo, NY, Elias and Spyros Gionis of Montreal Canada.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Cranston at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be at North Burial Ground in Providence.
