Peter F. DelSignore, Jr.

Peter F. DelSignore Jr., 85 of Cranston, passed away on April 4, 2023.

For 60 years he was the loving husband of Helen (Noons) DelSignore. He is survived by his children David A. DelSignore, Dennis A. DelSignore (Paul Carpentier), Dana M. Rezendes and his beloved grandchildren Dakota DelSignore, Diandra DelSignore, and Stephanie Rezendes.  A lifelong resident of Cranston, he was the son of the late Peter F. DelSignore and Mary (Rakutis) DelSignore.

Peter proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a parachute rigger which helped to fulfill his dream of traveling across Europe. One of his fondest memories was his first job as a baker at the local A & P Bakery. It was here, at the age of fifteen, he cultivated his dedicated work ethic, leading him to a successful career with Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals and Hoechst-Celanese. Many lasting friendships were formed during these years. Along with his wife, he remained an active member of the community at St. Mary’s Church in Cranston.

Peter was well-loved for his charisma, sense of humor, his selflessness and kind heart. He was an avid Yankees and Bruins fan. Peter was also a talented baker, renowned for his delicious wine and pepper biscuits. He enjoyed going on trips with his wife and friends, playing cards, golfing and bowling. Peter wishes to be remembered as an average “good-guy”, always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Above all, Peter cherished every moment he spent with his family, to whom he attributed his happiness.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 12th at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m.  Burial with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
