88 of Flint Ave., passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Angelina (Magnotta) Castriotta. He was born in Bristol a son of the late Nicola and Antonetta (Lauriola) Castriotta. Mr. Castriotta was employed by the U.S. Postal Department and was also the owner & operator of Gil-Peter Photography Studio. Mr. Castriotta served his country honorable and proudly as a Marine Corps Veteran during WW II serving as a Corporal and participated in the Gilbert Islands Operations, the Kvajalein Operation and the Merianas Island Operation. He was a member of the Professional Photographers of RI, the UCT and the VFW. He was the brother of Joseph Castriotta and Anna Lanni both of Warwick, Ida Ruggieri and Benito Castriotta both of Cranston, Vittorio Castriotta of Port St. Lucie, Fl and the late Matthew, John, Nicholas, Paul, and Michael Castriotta; Jeanette Briar, Carmella Hassell and Regina Capuano. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11am. VISITING HOURS WEDNESDAY MORNING 9-10am. Entombment with Full Military Honors will take place in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
