Percy L. Smith Jr.

73, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Alexis (Sinapi) Smith for 43 years. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Percy L. Smith Sr., and Eloise (Roach) Smith. Mr. Smith was a lab technician for 20 years. Percy was a US Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a friend of Bill W and helped many people through recovery. Percy loved spending time with his family and was known as a kind and caring person to all.

Besides his wife Alexis, he is survived by his loving children, Percy A. Smith and his wife Deborah Vroom of Warwick, Alexander R. Smith and his wife Lisa of Lincoln and Ornika Smith of Greensboro, NC. He was the cherished grandfather of Devin Smith, Alice Smith, Dwight Cook, Paige Dearman and Simone Smith. He was also the cherished great-grandfather of four. Percy was the brother of Catherine Evans of Clinton, MD, Calvin D. Smith of Forestville, MD, Naomi Smith of Washington, DC, the late Walter Johnson, Laveda Simmons and James Smith.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, from 10:00am-12:00pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by his Funeral Home Service at 12:00pm. Burial is respectfully omitted. Masks are required.
