Paul T. Vartanian, 77, of Johnston passed away peacefully Saturday December 24, 2022, at home with his family by his side. Born in New York, he was the son of the late Paul T. and Marion (Garabedian) Vartanian. He was the loving companion for many years of Dianne Gessner.
Paul was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, after completing high school he then went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army National Guard, during the Vietnam Era. He was the owner and operator of his general contracting business, PTV Construction. He was a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church Armenian Apostolic Church. He was a long-time member and facilitator of the Sts. Sahag Mesrob Armenian sports banquet, always helping to raise money to award children of the Armenian community that excelled in school and award scholarships for sports. He was an avid sports fan, there wasn’t a sport he didn’t enjoy. He was a member on the Court Jesters softball team. He was an avid skier that like to spend every winter weekend in New Hampshire with his family.
Besides his companion Dianne, he is survived by his loving daughter Beth Cady and her husband Mike. His beloved granddaughter Olivia Broccoli. He was the devoted brother of Debra Purdy.
