Paul Joseph Henriques

73, of Wakefield, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of Diana (Daysh) Henriques for forty-five years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Diamantino and Leopoldina (Piros) Henriques.

He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

Paul worked for his family business, the J. Henriques & Son Portuguese Sausage Company and was the former owner of Cowesett Shell Gas Station.  He later worked in trucking for Ocean State Job Lot and retired from RIPTA.

Paul grew up on Narrow River and was a water enthusiast.  He enjoyed surfing, water skiing, fishing and crabbing.  He also loved to read.  Paul was a supporter of the Wounded Warriors Project, the VFW and the DAV.

Besides his wife, he leaves his brother, Richard J. Henriques and his wife Gail of Wakefield; two nieces, Jessica and Tara Henriques; his brother-in-law, Alfred W. Daysh and his wife Cheryl of Bristol; two nephews, Jeffrey Daysh and Peter Daysh (Cassie); and great niece Zoella Jade Daysh.

His funeral service will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10:30am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 2-5pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 State Street, Unit 200, Providence, RI 02908.
