78 year old resident of Providence, passed away at the Morgan Health Center on Tuesday January 8, 2008. He was the beloved husband to his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth F. (Simone) Castriotta. He was the son of the late Nicola and Antonetta (Lauriola) Castriotta. He was the brother to Peter Castriotta of Cranston, Joseph Castriotta of Warwick, Benito Castriotta of Cranston, Victor Castriotta of Florida, Anna Lanni and Ida Ruggieri both of Cranston and the late Matthew, John, Michael and Nicholas Castriotta, Carmella Hassell, Jeanette Briar and Regina Capuano. He was the brother-in-law of Virginia C. Storti of Cranston. Paul was a retired Corrections Officer for the ACI for 24 years. He was a veteran of Korea as a member of the United States Navy and was a member of the United States Marine Corps Band. Paul was a past Commander of the VFW Post #8 and the American Legion Post #14. He was a former Vice President of the Rosario Society in Silver Lake and a former member of BPOE, the Italian American War Veterans (ITAM) and the United Commercial Travelers of RI. Paul was the proud uncle to countless nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews and many people are proud to have called him "friend". His funeral will be held on Friday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in his honor at Holy Apostles Church 800 Pippin Orchard Rd. Cranston at 10am. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8pm.
