67, of North Kingstown, RI, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Michael Henaghan for 36 years. Born in Schenectady, NY, she was a daughter of Bruce Sharron and the late Mary (Krone) Sharron.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by her loving children, Marissa O’Connor and her husband William of Cranston, and Daniel Henaghan of Denver, CO. She was the cherished grandmother of Delaney and Everly O’Connor. Pat was the sister of Dan Sharron and his wife Holly of Scotia, NY, and Lin Stark of Norwich, CT. She was the sister-in-law of Patrick Henaghan of Medford, MA. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pat moved to Boston in 1981, where she attended Northeastern University, graduating Cum Laude. She managed to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in just 3 years, all while working full time. After graduation she became a trusted and highly valued Executive Assistant for several high-tech companies in the Boston Area.
Pat and her husband raised their family in Sudbury, MA. During the 25 years she lived there, Pat made many lifelong friends who admired her for her generous personality and zest for life. Pat served her community as a Girl Scout troop leader, CCD teacher and Fresh Air Fund Host. She was an involved and supportive mother who didn’t miss an opportunity to provide wonderful life experiences for her children.
After retirement Pat and Mike moved to North Kingstown, RI to be closer to their grandchildren. Pat, aka, Mimi, created a lifetime of memories for her granddaughters with special adventures, craft projects and baking. She loved the ability to spend more time with her granddaughters, and she adored her new condo on the water with a beautiful ocean view. In typical Pat fashion she quickly made friends with neighbors and joined the Welcoming Committee where she greeted new residents with cards of her beautiful photography from the area.
Pat and Mike split their time between RI and their Weston, Florida home, where they enjoyed hosting friends and family. She became involved in the Broward International Women’s Club. Pat loved the Florida lifestyle – outdoor dining, walking the boardwalk, and simply being on the beach.
Pat spent the final weeks of her life wining and dining with family and friends. Pat's many lifelong friends can attest to what an incredible woman and dedicated friend she was to all, always putting others before herself. Pat's friends were like family, raising their children together and celebrating the joys of life.
Pat will be remembered for her optimism, fighting spirit, sound advice and fierce determination.
