Patrica Camille (Sullivan) Rychlec

Sustained by her faith, Patricia Sullivan Rychlec, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 15, 2018 in Westerly, RI.

Patricia was born in Malden, Massachusetts to Patricia Grayson and Lawrence Sullivan. She was raised in Silsbee, TX and attended Mass Maritime Academy, where she earned her degree in Marine Transportation. She worked for Electric Boat for 33 years before falling ill. She was heavily involved in a number of community groups, holding many posts at Dunn’s Corners Community Church Presbyterian (DCCCP), including serving as a leader to the Teen Team, and participating in the Westerly Relay for Life and Warm Shelter Penguin Plunge. Patricia enjoyed golf, reading, giving, sports, and adventures.

Patricia is preceded in death by her sister, Anna Louise, and father, Lawrence Sullivan, Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Katey Rychlec, her son, Sam Rychlec, her future son-in-law, Christopher LaGasse, her mother, Patricia Sullivan, her siblings, Martha Sullivan, Lawrence Sullivan and his wife Brenda, nephews, aunt, uncle, numerous cousins, her beloved dogs, and countless other lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the DCCCP Teen Team, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, or the Izzy Foundation.  The family of Patricia wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Robison and the staff at Women & Infants Hospital; and the staff at Westerly Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at DCCCP in Westerly, RI on January 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
