Pasqualina "Lena" (Jacavone) Darezzo

89, of South Kingstown, passed away on December 21, 2023, Surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Samuel Darezzo.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Acciardo) Jacavone.

Upon completing her education at Mt. Pleasant High School, Lena discovered a deep-seated passion for caregiving, devoting 25 years to her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant, she brought compassion and dedication to her work until her well-deserved retirement. Lena also served as a crossing guard in South Kingstown for over two decades.

In her spare time, she delighted in the company of her family, cherished moments with her grandchildren, and shared affection with her beloved pets.

Lena is lovingly remembered by her surviving family members, including her two sons: Louis Grande and his wife Michelle of Norwich, CT, and Dennis Grande of Wakefield, RI. She is also survived by her brother Carlo Jacavone and his wife Julie of Scituate, RI, and her Sister-in-law Anna Jacavone of Cranston, RI. Three grandchildren: Luigi Grande of Exton, PA, Nicholas Grande of Charlestown, RI, and Heather Grande of Norwich, CT. Additionally, she leaves behind two great-grandsons, Anthony, and Angelo Grande.

She is preceded in death by her beloved sisters, the late Anna Macari, and Mary Macari, and her dear brother, John Jacavone.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday Morning from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
