Pasqualina A. ( DiPietro ) Caliri, " Patsy", "Pat", 72, of Camden Rd., Narragansett passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at South County Hospital, Wakefield. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Carlo and Mary (Rao) DiPietro and she had summered in Bonnet Shores for more than 30 years prior to becoming a permanent resident 7 years ago. She was employed by the State of R.I. serving 31 years as a financial manager with the Department of Economic Development for 25 years and 6 years at the MHRH, retiring in June 2003. Her family was her greatest joy and she took pleasure in traveling, most recently to Italy accompanied by her three daughters. As a resident of Bonnet Shores she spent time gardening, reading, sewing, knitting and playing in HiLo Jack Tournaments. She was a volunteer usher at the Providence Performing Arts for 13 years and spent her leisure time at the Center in South Kingstown making quilts and playing mahjong. She was a communicant of St. Veronica Chapel. She is survived by her loving daughters; Donna Jean Hazlehurst and her companion Robert Soles of Narragansett, Patricia Caliri-Grant and her husband Peter of Port Charlotte, FL and Maria E. DeNuccio and her husband Daniel of Exeter. She was the grandmother of Marissa and Meghan Hazlehurst, David, Thomas and Patrick DeNuccio. She was the sister of Margherite Garrahy and her husband former Gov. J. Joseph Garrahy of Narragansett, Annette Thibodeau and her husband Omer of Johnston, Theresa D'Ordine and her husband Robert of Narragansett, Carlo DiPietro Jr. and his wife Peggy of No. Providence, Carmino DiPietro and his wife Bina of No. Providence and the late Salvatore and Joseph DiPietro. She was the sister in law of Kathy DiPietro of CT. She is also survived by 44 nieces and nephews.Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd., ( Rt. 1A ), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Veronica Chapel , Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett at 10:am. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Donations, in her memory, to the Center/S.K. Senior Services, 25 St. Dominic Rd., So. Kingstown, RI 02879 would be appreciated.
