87, a long time resident of Cranston and Port Charlotte, FL passed away April 28, 2010 at home after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's. He was the beloved husband of Levia (D'Ippolito) DeFrancesco. On May 3rd, they would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. He was born in Providence, and was the son of the late Antonio and Elvira (Zanfagna) DeFrancesco. Pat was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. DeFrancesco was employed by the State of Rhode Island for 25 years and retired in 1983. He was an avid gardener and a nature enthusiast. Besides his wife Levia, he is survived by his loving children, Edward DeFrancesco and his wife Diana of TX, Patricia Battista and her husband Ron of MA, and Lisa Mollo and her husband Joseph of Lincoln, RI. He was also the cherished grandfather of John and Philip DeFrancesco of TX, Christopher Grieco of MA, Joseph and Zachary Mollo of Lincoln, RI. Pat was also the dear brother of the late John and Arthur DeFrancesco, and Yolanda Pescatore. He also leaves behind his friends and caregivers, Jean and Joe Amaral, and his dear nephew and caregiver Michael D'Ippolito. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St. Cranston. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 5-8 pm.
