PASQUALE "PAT" FORTE, 81, of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Edna G. (Weiss) Forte. Born in Providence, a son of the late Domenico and Vincenza (Sabatino) Forte, he moved to Cranston in 1961 and to Johnston in 2002. Mr. Forte was the Founder and President of the former XL Jobbers in Providence for 25 years, before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Army Veteran serving with the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Forte was an active member of St. Mary's Church in Cranston serving as an usher for the past 50 years, and was Past President of its Holy Name Society. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Patricia A. Bertuglio of Richmond, Domenick "Mickey" Forte of Cranston and Dianne and Janet; a sister, Angelina Micheletti of Cranston; and four grandchildren, Domenick C., Christopher D., A.J., and Christina. He was the brother of the late Raffaela Taglione, Lucy Cunha, Tomasina DeSimone and Michael, Vincent J. and Daniel Forte. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
