Pasquale D'Arpino 97,of Providence, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of the late Maria (Iannattone) D'Arpino and Antonia (Rossi) D'Arpino. Born in San Paolo, Brazil, at the age of three, he moved to Italy and came to the United States in 1951. He was a son of the late Crescenzo and Teresa (Baggi) D'Arpino. Mr. D'Arpino was employed by the former Highland Textile Company of Providence in the bleaching and printing department for twenty years before retiring in 1973. He also worked in construction and for the railroad. Mr. D'Arpino served in the Italian Army during WW II. He enjoyed making wine, tending to his garden and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Crescenzo D'Arpino and his wife Sara of Johnston, Maria Cassisi and her husband Francesco of Providence. Mr. D'Arpino was the grandfather of seven and the great-grandfather of seven. He was the brother of the late Maria D'Arpino and Joseph D'Arpino. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
