Pasquale "Pat" Castagliuolo

92, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024 after a long, courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Born in Forio D'Ischia, Naples, Italy, he was the son of the late Francescopaolo and Concetta (Coppa) Castagliuolo. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Pascatore) who he leaves behind. Pat came to the United States in 1955 aboard the SS Constitution, eventually settling in Providence and marrying Anna in 1960. Pat was self-employed in the fruit and produce industry, and from 1962 to 1987, he was the owner-operator of Fruitland, a local fruit and produce stand located on Bald Hill Rd in Warwick. After Fruitland, Pat began delivering wholesale fruit and produce to restaurants and facilities throughout Rhode Island. Pat was a simple family man who found enjoyment in tending to his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing, foraging in the woods for mushrooms, and cooking Italian dishes for his family. An avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed all sports New England including following the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. He was the loving father of his two sons, Stephen (Andrea) of Stonington, CT and Paul (Nancy) of Cranston, RI. He also was the loving grandfather to six cherished grandchildren; Christopher, Nicholas, Stephanie, Andrew, Matthew and Alex. Pat was predeceased by six siblings, and was the brother of Concetta Mancuso, currently of Forio D’Ischia, Naples, Italy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Pat's kindness and gentleness will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace dad, you were a good husband, father, grandfather and all around good man.

The Castagliuolo family would like to extend our sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. Anthony Mega and to Dr. Mark Preston whose years of competent and compassionate care gave Pat years of life that he probably would not have had.

Additionally, thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Rhode Island Hospital for their care and compassion during Pat's final weeks. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or visit stjude.org/memorial.
