Pamela (Peters) Nahmias

72, of Wakefield, Rhode Island passed away on July 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of A. Michael Nahmias for 50 years of marriage.

Born in Rochester, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Thelma (VanBrummellen) Peters.

She had worked in advertising for Eastman Kodak before retiring to raise her two children, Lindsey and Brent. The family moved to Wakefield, Rhode Island in 1997, when Mike changed companies, and were fortunate to have joined such a welcoming neighborhood and community in South County RI.

Pam had a zest for life, finding joy in a variety of activities that brought her closer to nature and those she loved. She was an avid sailor who loved the thrill of racing sailboats and spent many hours fishing. Pam also enjoyed skiing and treasured her time at the beach. Her family was central to her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A passionate dog lover, Pam also had a creative side, delving into the world of Legos as a true enthusiast and entrepreneur. She was a dedicated NASCAR fan and, as a proud native of upstate New York, she was a loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills, remaining true to her team even after relocating to New England.

Besides her husband, she leaves her two cherished children, Lindsey N. Turowski and Brent Nahmias; a brother, John Peters; a sister, Alice Geldof; and son-in law, Carson Turowski. She was the sister of the late Harmon “Bud” Peters.
