NOUBAR GALPCHIAN
90, of Cranston, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Prland (Balabanian) Galpchian. Born in Egypt, he was the son of the late Srapion and Vartouhi Galpchian.
Mr. Galpchian was an Architect in Egypt and later in Yerevan, Armenia before coming to the U.S. in 1980 where he was a supervisor at Alga Plastics in Cranston retiring in 1993.
He was the devoted father of Levon Galpchian and his wife Anahit and Srapion Galpchian and his wife Nadezhda, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Vartouhi, Alis and Srpouhi; and loving great grandfather of Alexis.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence at 11 a.m. Interment will be at North Burial Ground in Providence. VISITING HOURS MONDAY 5-8 p.m.
