89, of Cranston, passed away, Friday, May 28, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of sixty-six years to Nancy (Natalia) Prestage. Born in Douglas, AZ, he was a son of the late Norman and Florence (Brown) Prestage. Mr. Prestage was a custom cabinet maker and master craftsman for the former Gorham Silversmiths of Providence for forty years before retiring in 1985. Norman was a US Navy combat veteran serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres during WW II. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1738, Cranston. Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Norman A. Prestage, Jr. and his wife Beverly of Cranston. Norman was the grandfather of three and the great-grandfather of eight. He was the brother of the late Paul and Ruth Prestage. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
