Norma F. Cartier, 103, formerly of Coventry and Warwick RI, and a summer resident of Bonnet Shores, died on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at the South Bay Manor, South Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Gilbert A. Cartier. Born in Barrington, she was the daughter of the late Clovis V. and Delia B. (O'Neil) Francis. She attended Rhode Island School of Design and was a lace designer for the Rhode Island Lace Works, Inc. Barrington. She enjoyed swimming, dancing and billiards. Later with her parents she became co-owner of the former Coventry Lace Works, Inc. Coventry. She leaves a daughter, Carolyn F. Caparco and her husband John of Narragansett, three grandchildren, Richard E. Booth, Jr., Linda A. Wholean and Carole A. Tucker. Five great grandchildren, Orion, Austin, Tyler, Ryan and Hailey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00am in St. Thomas More Church 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be accepted at Home & Hospice Care of RI 143 Main Street, Wakefield, RI 02879. They were wonderful caregivers.
