84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at West Shore Health Center, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Allen, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Maria (Riccio) Maglioli. Norma worked for many years in the jewelry industry at Curtis Manufacturing, then Colibri before retiring. She was a master of many talents in her work career and a valued employee. She made many life long friendships in her years employed there.
Norma is survived by her loving children, Michael Allen of Cranston and Susan Gainor and her husband Richard of Cranston. She was the cherished Nana of Corey Allen and Kristen and Joseph Gainor. Norma also leaves behind her sister Anna Mimande of Johnston, her nephews Kevin (Melanie) and Alan Mimande, and her sister-in-law, Winifred Newman.
We would like to thank Continuum Hospice of Rhode Island for its wonderful care of our mom, with special thanks and appreciation to Lee Ann, Alex, William and Martina for the love, compassion and support they provided our mom throughout her illness.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, Johnston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
