Nicholas Parascandolo

87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2020.  He was the devoted husband of the late Dolores (Morelli) Parascandolo.  He was the son of the late Nicolo and Nancy (DellaRagione) Parascandolo. He was the brother of the late Michael, Louis, James and Anthony Parascandolo.

Born in Johnston, RI, Nick was the devoted father of sons Gregory Parascandolo and his wife, Rose and Russell Parascandolo.  He was the devoted grandfather of Nicole Barboza and her husband, Eric and Gregory Parascandolo, Jr. and his wife, Nicole.

He was the devoted great-grandfather of Ariana, Eric Jr., Nicholas and Gabriella Barboza. Nick cherished the time that he spent with his family.

Along with his four brothers, Nick was a proud life-long co-owner and operator of N. Parascandolo & Sons Fish Dealers & Transportation companies, working with his two sons and numerous nephews in the family businesses founded by his father in the 1930’s. Later, in his eighties, he enjoyed continuing to work part-time until recently for Toyota Motor Sales after the family businesses had closed in 2013.

Nicholas was an active communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church. With his wife, he loved ballroom dancing and also loved following baseball.

His funeral with limited seating will be held on Wednesday, December 16th, at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Visiting hours and burial are respectfully private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Our Lady of Grace Church Memorial Society, 4 Lafayette St., Johnston, RI 02919.
