NICHOLAS DiCARLO

Nicholas DiCarlo, 85, of Wakefield St., West Warwick, passed away Sunday at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Zaccardelli) DiCarlo. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Vencenzo and Cleonice (Ferretti) DiCarlo. Nicholas worked for General Dynamics in Groton, CT. for many years before retiring. He was known as Poppy to many. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Sandra Mercurio and Elizabeth Altieri and her husband Domenic all of North Scituate; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was the father in-law of the late Steven Mercurio and brother of the late Domenic, Pasquale, Michael and Josephine DiCarlo and Carmela Santilli. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will be private.
