Nevart (Jansezian) Markarian

Nevart (Jansezian) Markarian, 86, of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 2, 2023.  She was the beloved wife of the late Markar H. Markarian.  Born in Aleppo, Syria, she was the daughter of the late Hovsep and Vartouhi (Kabanian) Jansezian.

Nevart was a bus monitor for Durham School Services for many years.

She was the devoted mother of Nelly M. Shiranian and Hagop “Jack” Markarian both of North Providence; cherished grandmother of Tanya Shiranian and David Shiranian; loving great-grandmother of Zayde Shiranian; and dear sister of the late Nazar Jansezian, Mary Kousaian, Takouhi Terzian, Khatoun Naldjian and Minas Jansezian.

Visiting hours are Thursday morning, October 5th at Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 10 a.m., followed by burial at North Burial Ground, Providence.
