Nancy (Farina) Rotondo 84, of Princess Avenue, Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at home. She was the wife of the late John B. "Larry" Rotondo. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Domenic Farina and Vincenza "Jennie"(Calicchia) Farina Martinelli. She was born and resided at her present address for her entire life. Mrs. Rotondo was an assembler for Welch Manufacturing Company of Providence and had also worked in the textile industry for twenty-five years before her retirement. Along with her husband, she was the co-owner of the former Union Tap in Providence. Nancy was an avid duckpin bowler and enjoyed playing poker with her friends every Friday night, but nothing brought her more pleasure than cooking her famous homemade gnocchi and macaroni for her family. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity and fierce loyalty to her family, friends and special charities. She is survived by her two sons, David A. Rotondo and his wife Anne Marden of East Greenwich and John J. Rotondo of Johnston. She was the beloved grandmother of Zachary and Samuel Rotondo; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rotondo was the sister of Mary Lodge of Cranston and the late Angelo, John, and Albert Farina and Adele Capraro. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 305 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
