93, of Cranston passed away at home on Tuesday November 13, 2012. She was the wife of the late Antonio Iannucci, a decorated disabled World War II Veteran. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Frances (Di Nola) Pezza.
She is survived by her brother, Biagio J. Pezza of Cranston and her sister, Edith (Pezza) Toti of Cranston; and was a sister of the late Lena (Pezza) Ruggieri, Theresa (Pezza) Stravato, and Michael "Dicky" Pezza.
Nancy was well loved by her family, especially her numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Her nephew Robert Stravato was her care helper for many years, taking care of her daily personal needs. For close to thirty years Nancy was employed at Brier's Jewelry Manufacturing Company until her retirement. She was a long-standing member of the Knightsville Senior Club, planning many of their social activities and bus trips. Nancy also devoted much of her time as a volunteer knitting caps for newborn babies for Women and Infants Hospital for which she received recognition by the hospital for her efforts. Throughout her life Nancy always placed the care of others first, taking inspiration from her Catholic faith. She touched many lives and will be missed greatly by family and friends.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
