95, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Aram Abraham. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion (Wade) Phipps. Mildred was a talented acrobat and dancer and was voted most athletic in high school. She was a lifeguard and a graceful swimmer who enjoyed spending summers at the beach. Mildred possessed an unwavering devotion to God, faith, and her family. She had empathy for, and saw the good in, everyone. At all times she put others needs and wants far above her own. Hers was an exemplary life that we would all do very well to emulate as closely as possible.
Mildred was the loving and devoted mother of Dr. Stephen A. Abraham and his wife Sylvia of Westwood, MA, Janet Enos and her husband Michael of Cranston, and Carole Machamer and her husband Justin of Warwick. She was the cherished grandmother of Dr. Elizabeth Silber and her husband Dr. Zachary Silber, Catherine Abraham, Matthew, James and Joseph Abraham, Steven and David Cambio, Kristen Lefebvre and her husband Trevor Lefebvre, and Timothy Machamer. Mildred was also the adored great-grandmother of Lila Lefebvre. She was the sister of the late John Phipps and Marion Marsh. Mildred also leaves her loving cousin Anne Cerroni, former son-in-law Robert Cambio and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan.12th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
