MICHELINA "MAGGIE" (PETTERUTI) MARSOCCI

Michelina "Maggie" ( Petteruti ) Marsocci 88, of Beech Avenue, Cranston, passed away peacefully with her son at her side on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Horace J. "Babe" Marsocci, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Gentelina (Buco) Petteruti. Mrs. Marsocci was an inspector for the former Bulova Watch Company for many years until her retirement. Her family was most important to her. She was an avid vegetable gardener and a great cook. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with her late husband and on one occasion caught a forty-eight pound striped bass at Point Judith. She is survived by her son Horace "Jack" Marsocci and his wife Suzanne of Saunderstown and was the mother of the late Janice S. Lisy. Mrs. Marsocci was the grandmother of Christopher A. Lisy, Peter J. Marsocci and Julie A. Marsocci and the great-grandmother of Thomas C. Lisy. She was the sister of Christine Devaney of Kerrville, TX and the late Florence Merola, Margaret Azzoli, Mary Courtney, and Carmino Petteruti. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m.
