MICHELE RAGOSTA, JR

81, of Hope, died, Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Cra-Mar Meadows, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Angela (DiZoglio) Ragosta. They were married for fifty-four years. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Michele and Almerinda (Buonanno) Ragosta, Sr. Mr. Ragosta was a comptroller at Astro-Med of West Warwick for five years before retiring in 1998. He was also employed by Klitzner Industries of Providence for many years. He was a US Army veteran serving during Korean War era. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Adrienne A. Marchetti of North Providence, Annette A. Ragosta of Frederick, MD, Drs. Michael Ragosta and Kiyoko of Charlottesville, VA, Christopher Ragosta and his wife Janet of Johnston, and Heidi A. Rocchio and her husband Joseph of Coventry. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Anthony, Sachiko, Mia, C.J. and Isabella Ragosta, Joseph and Domenic Rocchio. Michele was the brother of Carmine Ragosta and his wife Frances of Naples, FL Ilma Bichun of Warwick and Gloria Halligan of North Kingstown. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
