MICHAEL L. SORAFINE

94, of North Providence, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Shirley R. (Brauneis) Sorafine. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Ablin) Sorafine. Mr. Sorafine was an upholsterer and owner of the former Mt. Pleasant Upholstery for sixty years before retiring in 1998. He was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He is survived by his children David J. Sorafine and his wife Cheryl of North Providence, Debra L. Grande and her husband Gene of Johnston, JoAnne Marchand of North Providence, Marie Sorafine of Providence, and Michael Sorafine of CA. Mr. Sorafine was the grandfather of David, Derek, Mary, Sean, and Michael. He was the brother of the late, Simon, Thomas, and James Sorafine. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
