MICHAEL D. PALAZZO

Michael D. Palazzo 52, of Cranston died Tuessday, May 12, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Dianne (Thompson) Palazzo. They were married for twenty-nine years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Olga (Amatelli) Palazzo. Mr. Palazzo was a laborer for Union Local #271 at the Dunkin Donut Center, Providence for over twenty-four years. He was a former Union Steward for Union Local #1033 of Providence and Shop Steward for events at the former Providence Civic Center. Michael was also employed by the former Bulova Watch Company of Providence. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Class of 1975 and a member of the football team. Michael attended Johnson and Wales University. He was a member of the Rosario Society and the Imperial Club. Mr. Palazzo was a life time member of the Silver Lake Little league as a player and coach. He played for "Harry's Variety" and "Mama Chello's" softball teams. Michael also coached Providence Babe Ruth Baseball. Besides his wife he is survived by his two children, Michael R. Palazzo and Jessica A. Palazzo both of Cranston. He was the brother of John S. Palazzo of North Providence. Michael also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
