Michael James (Nikitaidis) Nikis

August 5, 1967 — August 31, 2023

Michael James (Nikitaidis) Nikis

beloved son, brother, friend, and father, passed on August 31st, 2023 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Denver, Colorado, on August 5th, 1967, Michael was an adventurer from the start. He had a zest and curiosity for life that brought him to explore many corners of the world. While Michael called a number of places home throughout his life, he always cherished the tradition of summers and holidays spent with his grandparents (Louis & Evelyn Cataldi) and his cousins in Rhode Island.

Michael was a gifted athlete and golfer. He had a deep connection with nature and loved hiking the mountains near his home in Scottsdale, AZ. He was a man of character and integrity. He enjoyed a good laugh and had an exceptional sense of humor. Most of all, Michael was a loyal family man. He adored gathering over a meal and spending time with his loved ones. His strong and generous spirit will live on.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 9th at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. A celebration of life will be held at The Wharf, Warren.
