72, of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Moretti) DeSimone for 41 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Patrick and Mary (DiRienzo) DeSimone.
After Michael graduated from Cranston West in 1969, he enlisted in the Coast Guard Reserve and then began his educational journey at CCRI, later obtaining a B.S. in Engineering at Roger Williams University. While balancing family life and work, he was most proud to have earned his JD from New England School of Law, kickstarting a career in private practice for over twenty years. Michael’s passion for practicing law went from the courtroom to the classroom and taught Business Law at various institutions including CCRI, Roger Williams University and New England Tech.
In 2016, Michael and his wife Elaine retired to Jupiter, Florida, which they called their home away from home for more than seventeen years. Michael was a man of intellect with a dry sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and had an enormous heart. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends and family.
Besides his wife Elaine, he is survived by his loving daughters, Christina Perlov and her husband Pavel of Hopkinton, MA, Claire O’Connor and her husband Matthew of Sudbury, MA; cherished grandchildren, Ava & Camille Perlov, and Jack, Cameron & Drew O’Connor.
