Michael James Burke Sr.

66, a 43-year resident of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 16, 2022. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Dolores J. (Centore) Burke, along with their 3 sons, Michael J. (Marissa), Matthew J. (Erica), and Daniel J., along with 2 cherished grandsons.

Born and raised in Warwick, he attended Warwick Public Schools and was a graduate of Bryant College (now Bryant University) in Smithfield.  A police officer early in his career, he then became a member of the Teamsters local union #251 for 30 years. Upon retirement out of New Penn Motor Express in Cranston, he went to work full time for the State of Rhode Island.

A long time New England Patriots season ticket holder, he has attended 10, of the 11 Super Bowls that the Patriots have participated in.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Burial is private.
