MICHAEL BUONANNI

78 of Wildflower Dr. Cranston, passed away on Sunday August 15, 2010 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband of Filomena (Colagiovanni) Buonanni. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Carmela (Infantile) Buonanni. Michael was a Korean War Army Veteran. He was the owner & operator of the former Mike's Paradise Meat Market of Providence and Cranston for many years before his retirement. Michael was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1950, where he served as class president and recently presided over his 60th class reunion. He was an outstanding high school athlete and captain of his football team. Besides his wife he was the beloved father of Susan Izzo and her husband Paul, Peter Buonanni and his wife Karen, Marisa Ricciardi and her husband Steven; loving grandfather of Michael Paul Izzo and his wife Samantha, Stefanie Izzo, Nicholas and Eric Ricciardi, Michael Buonanni , Briana McElroy and loving great-grandfather of Alexandra Izzo, dear brother of Maria Gelsomino and Gloria Benton and her husband Robert, dear brother in-law of Lucy Colagiovanni and Joseph Colagiovanni. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
