Mesrob "Mezzy" Chevian

of Mica Ave., Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.  He was the beloved husband of the late Teresa M. (Mercurio) Chevian.  Born in Turkey, he was the son of the late Hovsep and Baidzar (DerMarderossian) Chevian.

Mezzy was a textile printer in the textile industry for many years before retiring; and was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran.

He was the devoted father of Lawrence J. Chevian and his wife Carrie of Westerly and Richard J. Chevian of Cranston; loving grandfather of Kymberly Chevian Sassoon and her husband Gabriel of New York City; cherished great-grandfather of Rebecca Teresa Sassoon; and dear brother of Rose Antonelli of Providence and the late Megrdich, Tateos, Charles and Elizabeth Chevian, Alice Mangione and Mary Grant.

VISITING HOURS are TUESDAY MORNING, October 9th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in STS. SAHAG & MESROB ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH, Providence, followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be at North Burial Ground, Providence.
