MELVIN V. SARKISIAN

Melvin was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 99 in Cranston and was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WW-II. He was Head Goal Judge for the RI Interscholastic Hockey League for over 20 years and was also Goal Judge for the former RI Reds.

He was the devoted father of Rosemary Kuzirian and her husband Myron, Karen F. Brannon and her husband William, and Michael F. Navoian and his wife Denise, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Stephanie Cogliandro and her husband Michael, LT Stephen C. Kuzirian, NOAA, Matthew Brannon, and Zachary Melvin, Jenna Elizabeth and Kadie Luzia Ellen Navoian; and dear brother of Elizabeth Sarkisian of Cranston and the late Dorothy Hill and Marion Brelsford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday 5-8 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will be at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
