MELVIN H. KNOLL

87, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Margaret M. (Oliver) Knoll. Born in Mount Rose, MN, he was a son of the late Henry and Vesta (Wright) Knoll. Mr. Knoll was a supervisor in the aircraft division at the US Naval Air Station, Quonset Point for thirty years before his retirement. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother Warren C. Knoll of Manchester, CT.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
