MAURO DELLA SELVA

He was the beloved husband of Antonette "Etta" (Gentile) Della Selva.

Born in Bristol, RI he was the son of the late Michael and Raefaella (Ruggieri) Della Selva. He was a WW-II U.S. Airforce veteran.

He was decorated with the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal; Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. He received citations for meritorious achievement with distinction over enemy occupied Continental Europe; and was a POW at Stalag VII in Moosburg Germany for 9 months.

He was a boiler room operator for Narragansett Electric for 32 years before retirement.

Besides his wife he was the beloved father of Michael Della Selva and his wife Shelly, James Della Selva, Judith Fahey and David Della Selva and his wife Maryam; loving grandfather of Sean and Conor Fahey and Sophia and Julianna Della Selva. He was the dear brother of Joseph Della Selva and the late Angelo and Anthony Della Selva and Susan Saccoccia.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a service at 9 a.m. Interment with military honors will be held at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

Visiting hours are Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
