Matthew A. Vecchiarelli

72, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was the loving companion and soulmate of Frances A. Golombiewski. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Mary (Umani) Vecchiarelli. Matthew was the owner of Contemporary Classics hair salon in North Providence, RI for over fifty years before retiring.

Matthew is also survived by his dear siblings, Josephine Verdadiero of Melbourne, FL, Bruno Vecchiarelli of Hope, RI, Ann Marie Capaldi of North Port, FL, and Theresa Kiley of West Warwick, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 28th at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
