MARY VOSE

Mary (Rougas) Vose 77, of Capuano Avenue, Cranston, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of James A. Vose Sr.; they were married for forty-seven years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Eugenia (Kritikou) Rougas. Mrs. Vose was a bookkeeper for the former John L. Street Company of Providence for ten years. She was also the co-owner of the former Park Grill and Dino's Restaurant before retiring in 1992. Mrs. Vose was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She was a past president of the church PTA and a member of the church Philoptochos Society. Mrs. Vose was crowned "Miss Providence" in 1954 at the AHEPA District Convention. Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children; James A. Vose Jr. and his fiancAC.e Dyanne of Coventry, Andrew J. Vose and his wife Donna, Dean A. Vose and his wife Christina, all of Cranston. Mrs. Vose was the cherished grandmother of Andrew D. Vose, Alexander J. Vose and Maria C. Vose. She was the caring sister of William A. "Gus" Rougas of Cranston and the late John A. Rougas. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
