MARY W. (HEALEY) SMITH

78, of 76 Howland Ave., Jamestown passed away on Thursday December 30, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Smith, Sr. They were married 49 years.

Mary was born in Boston, MA was the daughter of the late Patrick Healey and Mary (Platti) Healey. Mrs. Smith worked at the Ladd Center in Exeter until her retirement in 1981. Mary known as the "Paper Lady" on the Island delivered Newspapers for 32 years on Jamestown.

She is survived by her children, Maureen B. Morlen and Husband Chris of Jamestown, Carl B. Smith of Johnson City TN, Robert A. Smith and wife Celeste of West Warwick, Mark L. Smith and wife Barbara of Warwick, RI., two daughters in Law Lauren M Vogel of Atlanta GA and Katherine K. Smith the wife of Mary's late son Raymond E. Smith Jr. of Tilton NH. Mary was also the cherished grandmother of 10, the great grandmother of 3 and many nieces and nephews. She was also survived by two brothers, Edward Healey of Milton Ma., and Thomas Healey of Fl.

She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church, a private Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, January 3rd, and a spring burial service will be planned in the near future.
