88, of formerly of Massachusetts St. in the Knightsville section of Cranston, died peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her family on Friday December 14, 2007. She was the wife of the late Orlando Sinapi. Born in Cranston she was the daughter of the late Fedele and Adele (Pinocci) Simonini. She was the sister of the late Eugene Simonini, Enis Prosperi, Josephine Pezza and Phyllis DiPrete. Mrs. Sinapi graduated from Cranston High School East and was one of the first recipients of the Rhode Island Honor Society Award. Mrs. Sinapi was a clerk for many years at the former Knightsville Loan Co. She and her husband owned the Cranston Dry Goods Store formerly located on Cranston St. in Knightsville. She later worked as a secretary for DeLuca Motors and received an award for general excellence from American Motors. Mrs. Sinapi is survived by her four children Michael Sinapi and his wife Maryellen of Broomall, PA, Adele (Sinapi) Renzulli and her husband Joseph of Warwick, Steven Sinapi and his wife Carol of Providence and David Sinapi and his wife Lisa of Cranston. Mrs. Sinapi was the beloved Nana of Michael John Sinapi, Jr., Melissa and Jeff Gibson, Joseph, Maria, Gina, Gregory and the late Peter Renzulli and Jennifer and Allison Sinapi. She was the beloved Great Nana of Joseph, Jack and Mia Renzulli and Madison Gibson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday December 18th, 2007 at St. Mary's Church Cranston St., Cranston at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted.
