Mary Angela (De Angelis) Schiavitti

of Johnston, RI, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was the wife of the late Thomas C. Schiavitti.  Born in Cranston, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Gemma) De Angelis and was a resident of Johnston for the past 66 years.

She was a representative of Princess House for many years, and a receptionist at Roger Williams Medical Center before retiring.

Mary was the beloved and devoted mother of 5 children. Teresa “Terrie” Buonanno (late Anthony “Sharkey Jr.”) of North Kingstown, Diane Mangicapra (late Raymond) of Johnston, Thomas P. Schiavitti (Linda) of Johnston, Patricia L. Schiavitti and Debbie A. Schiavitti both of Johnston; dear sister of Esther Pandolfini and the late Fiore, Vincenzo “Jim”, Nicholas “Benny”, Joseph, Anna, Ethel and Carmela De Angelis, Etta Izzo, Elena Silvestri and Margie Nicini.  Mary was a grandmother and great grandmother.

Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the front gates at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston on Tuesday October 5th at 10:45 a.m., and will proceed to the cemetery chapel for committal prayers at 11 a.m.
