MARY A. (DELLA SELVA) SACCOCCIA

90, formerly of Dean Parkway, Cranston, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Steere House, Providence. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Philip A. Saccoccia, Sr. Born in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Raffaela (Ruggieri) Della Selva. She was a graduate of Central High School in Providence. Mary brought grace, intelligence, and lively warmth to every endeavor. Her legendary meals in the Italian tradition and gracious hospitality drew many friends of her children to her table throughout their college years and decades beyond. Whether waltzing with her husband of 61 years or joining him in building their two successful businesses, Good Will Market and later Park Realty Company, Mary was a woman of great radiance and energy.

Mary was the beloved mother of Dr. Philip Saccoccia, Jr. and his wife Marlene of Belgrade, MT, Susan Saccoccia of Cambridge, MA, Raffaela Kane and her husband James of Harrisville, RI; cherished grandmother of Mara Zello and her husband Ed, Beau Saccoccia, and Adam Kane; and great-grandmother of Lily Zello. She was the sister of Mauro and Joseph Della Selva, and the late Angelo and Anthony Della Selva.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mark's Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston.
