MARY P. (ALVITI) CAPRIO

90, of Cranston, passed away on Friday March 23, 2012 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was the devoted wife of the late Giacomo Caprio. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Aleta (Simonetti) Alviti. Mary was a cafeteria worker at Blue Cross retiring in 1994.

She was a member of the Knightsville Senior Citizens and the Kelley Gazzero Senior Citizens.

She was the beloved mother of Anthony Caprio of Cranston and Donald Caprio of Florida; loving grandmother of five; and dear sister of Loretta Cannata of Cranston, Rose D. Mozzetta of Cranston, Anna Silvestri of Warwick, Mercedes "Marcia" Franchetti of Cranston and the late Joseph and Vincent Alviti.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew's Church, Providence at 9 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m.
