MARY ( Manni) Marcello, 88, was taken to Heaven by Angels on February 4th at 1 a.m. at home. She was the spouse of the late Angelo A. Marcello.
Born in Cranston, the daughter of the late Francesco and and Tilde (Ronci) Manni, Mary was a life-long resident of Cranston, a communicant of St. Mary Church, a volunteer at the Society of Saint Vincent DePaul, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mary was also an avid walker, reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast, and world traveler. Her trips included, Alaska, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Morocco, and various islands in the Caribbean. She loved and lived life to the fullest. Mary is survived by six children, Barbara Wiswell, of Cranston, John and his wife Jane, of Landsdowne, Virginia, Mary Anne Marcello and her husband James, of North Kingstown, Christine Fisher and her husband Alan, of Portsmouth, Margherita Mottola and her fiancAC. Moyez Charania, of Sarasota, Florida, James and his wife Mary, of Warwick, and ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is the sister of Louise Tamagni, of Salinas, California and Muffy Doglione, of Clovis, California, Angelina Renzi, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Natalie Brandt, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Frank Manni, of Johnston, and Fred Manni, of Cranston, and the late Elsie, Albert and Armand Manni.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
