Mary C. (Jacavone) Macari 80, of Loxley Drive, Johnston, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Cherry Hill Manor Nursing Home, Johnston. She was the wife of Joseph S. Macari. They were married for fifty-nine years. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Acciardo) Jacavone. Mrs. Macari was the co-owner of the former Macari Photography Studio of Cranston for thirty years before retiring in 1981. She was also employed by the former Crissloid Manufacturing Company of Providence. Mrs. Macari was an active communicant of St. Rocco's Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Alpine Country Club. Besides her husband she is survived by her brothers and sisters Anna Macari and her husband John of Cranston, John Jacavone and his wife Anna of Providence, Carlo Jacavone and his wife Julie of Johnston and Lena D'Arezzo of Wakefield. Mrs. Macari was the sister-in-law of Ann Marie Tanzi of Cranston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
